Surrounded by amazing restaurants like O Pipo and Restaurante Covas, we indulged in some epic meals. Plus, our room was clean with loads of natural light and comfy beds – talk about a cozy vibe!

Now, don’t get me started on the noise from downstairs – it felt like I was part of the downstairs party.

My experience was marred by several issues during my stay. There was a significant lack of communication and responsiveness, especially during check-in, which took much longer than expected. Additionally, the room furnishings were impractical. the layout didn't effectively accommodate my needs with inadequate surfaces and hooks for personal items, causing inconvenience throughout my stay. And to add to the discomfort, the air conditioning control was poorly designed, leading to an uncomfortably warm night.

where do i even begin? the ac remote was attached to the wall and woudl ve been better left in our hands. The room smelled like mold—so elegant! also, with three of us in the deluxe triple room, we got supplies for two, which is just lovely when you're expecting a royal treatment. it was nice of them to feed us breakfast at a reasonable hour, but honestly, a complimentary gesture would have been so appreciated, dont you think?

I enjoyed my stay at Rua Grande Hotel thanks to its fantastic location in the heart of Viana do Castelo. My room was recently refurbished, exceptionally clean, with beautiful views over the river. The staff provided attentive service, and the simple breakfast was perfectly sufficient to start my day.

The hotel is ideally situated, just a short walk from the beautiful Viana do Castelo waterfront, making it easy to enjoy local attractions and scenic views.

Unfortunately, the WiFi was unreliable throughout my stay. even though I could connect to the network, it did not provide internet access, forcing me to rely on mobile data.

Great air conditioning and spotless room, but tight space for moving around.

The fantastic location provided easy access to local shops and restaurants while maintaining a peaceful ambiance. The room was well-kept, with plenty of sunlight and a refreshing shower that offered a nice respite after a long day. However, communication during check-in was delayed, and the breakfast timing wasn't ideal for early risers. Limited electrical outlets made charging devices a bit inconvenient.

The hotel offers an amazing spot, with the river just a few steps away and the picturesque Santa Luzia Sanctuary being a short stroll of about 2 km. i loved being able to walk out and immediately dive into the heart of the city, checking out the beautiful landmarks like Igreja Matriz de Viana do Castelo right around the corner.

Just a nice choice for a quick stop in Viana do Castelo with good value for price. The breakfast was simple but quite filling, giving me a good start before heading out. Bring a portable charger. the outlets are limited in the room.
